Overview

Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain is located in the restricted trekking region of Manaslu in mid-west Nepalat an altitude of 8156 meters. It is also known as Kutang. It is located in Mansiri Himal in Gorkha district of Nepal.“Manasa” in Sanskrit means “Mountain of the Spirit” is converted to this Gorkha’s highest peak Mt. Manaslu as "intellect" or "soul".

Mt. Manaslu is situated about 40 miles east of Mt. Annapurna of Kaski District. Manaslu Expedition expands the diverse landscape and challenging climbing experience. For the first time, in 1950 a group headed by H.W. Tilman trekked this area and ever since this area has been quite popular among the trekkers. This area is still restricted to a limited number of groups and only organized trekkers in groups can trek in this area. This is possible open air area to live leopard in snow.

Manaslu expedition is regarded as a better training mountain for Everest expedition. It requires more time than other 8000m Peaks in Nepal due to long approach to reach to the base camp of the mountain. To make an expedition shorter we can also use a helicopter.

Detail Information

  • Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our office representatives at the Airport and transferred to your Hotel. After fresh up, hang around near places. In the evening, there will be briefing by your guide. Overnight at hotel. (Meals: Welcome Drinks)
  • Day 2: Rest and preparation for destination (Meals: Breakfast)
  • Day 3: Drive Arughat to Camping. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 4: Arughat to Liding 4 hours -> Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 5: Liding to Machhakhola 5 hour – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 6: Machhakhola to Pungpu (Thulo Dhunga) 6 hours – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 7: Pungpu to Philim 5 hours - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 8: Philim to Bihiphhedi 6 hours - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 9: Bihiphhedi to Namrung 6 hours - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 10: Namrung to Syalla village - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 11: Syalla to Sama village - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 12: Sama Village one day rest. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 13: Sama Village to Manaslu Base - Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 14-38 Climbing Period for Manaslu 8163m. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 39: Base camp to Sama village – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 40: Sama to Namrung village – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 41: Namrung to Philim village – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 42: Filim to Machakhola – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 43: Machakhola to Soti – Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 44: Soti to Arughat. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 45: Arghat to Kathmandu. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
  • Day 46: Depature day. (Meals: Breakfast)

Note: This itinerary is made standard level. We can make trip accroding to your wishes more then longer or shorter.
